The biggest determent to making money online is the unbelievable amount of scams found on the internet. The amount is frankly unbelievable, but lets be realistic, there are scams outside the internet realm so one should not be demoralized from making money online.
One of the most important things in making money online, is being patient and not get demoralized. Rome was not built in a day! Ask any money making guru and he will surely tell you that the most common reason people do not make money is that they are expecting too much with too little work.
Another important trick, if you may even call it a trick, is by investing what you are willing to lose. Like anything else, making money on the internet is an investment, as we could see in the last few years (the credit crunch for those people living under a rock! ) they could fail. One cannot give up and must remain motivated because the returns may be extremely rewarding !
